Our Founders

Hi there. We’re Danny and Thania, the husband-and-wife duo behind Tailored Vets, a program that was born from a deeply personal place.

When Danny transitioned out of the Army, we were struck by how few long-term, relationship-driven mentorship programs existed for veterans. Sure, there were resume workshops and job boards but what about ongoing support? What about mentorship that sticks with you beyond the job offer?

We created Tailored Vets because we know the journey doesn’t end when you land a job. Veterans often go from doubt to clarity, from job search to purpose, from offer acceptance to frustrating team meetings and interwork conflicts. You need someone who’s been there. Who gets it and can walk with you through it all.

That’s where we come in.

Together, we bring a balance of military, HR, and real-life experience:

• Danny served in the U.S. Army as both an Infantryman and Recruiting Leader before building a career in corporate Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. He now leads recruiting at a national retail organization and has spent years helping veterans find careers that match their skills and purpose.

• Thania is a veteran spouse and a passionate HR professional with deep experience in talent strategy and military engagement. She currently leads Talent Strategy & Engagement at a global organization, where she develops inclusive workforce programs and helps veterans translate their experience into meaningful careers.
  

Tailored Vets is our passion project. Something we work on during evenings and weekends,  with the long-term goal of turning it into a nonprofit organization serving veterans across the country.
