Hi there. We're Danny and Thania, the husband-and-wife duo behind TailoredVets.


TailoredVets was born from a deeply personal place: our own experience navigating Danny's transition from the U.S. Army into a civilian career.


During that transition, we saw no shortage of resources designed to help veterans prepare. Resume workshops. Job boards. Transition classes. Interview preparation.


All of those things can help.


But we kept coming back to a different question:


What happens when the workshop ends?


What happens when you're trying to figure out which career actually makes sense? When the applications aren't turning into interviews? When you're comparing two opportunities and don't know which one is right? When you land the job and suddenly have to navigate a completely different workplace? Or when, three years later, you're ready for your next move?


We realized veterans didn't just need more resources. They needed relationships.


That's why we created TailoredVets: to combine hands-on career coaching with long-term mentorship that can begin before you leave the military and continue for as long as you need it.


Because transition isn't a single event.


And support shouldn't be either.

Danny served in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman and Recruiting Leader before transitioning into corporate Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.


Since leaving the military, he has built a career leading talent acquisition teams, advising organizations on recruiting strategy and technology, and helping veterans better understand how their military experience translates into the civilian workforce.


Danny brings the veteran perspective to TailoredVets, including the lessons learned from navigating his own transition and the career decisions that followed.

Thania experienced military transition from a different perspective: as a military spouse, HR professional, recruiter, and now, as a business owner.


Her career has focused on talent strategy, recruiting, and connecting people with meaningful career opportunities. She is also the founder of TailoredRecruitment, a boutique recruiting firm built around a more personalized approach to hiring.


Thania brings the employer, recruiter, and military-family perspective to TailoredVets, helping veterans understand not only how to search for opportunities, but how employers evaluate talent on the other side of the hiring process.

Why It Matters

 Together, our experiences gave us a unique view of military transition: the veteran navigating it, the family experiencing it alongside them, and the recruiters and employers evaluating talent on the other side.


That perspective became the foundation for TailoredVets.

Stephanie has long been a dedicated advocate for veterans and their families, drawing from her personal connection to military service, her father served in the Navy, three older brothers served in the Air Force, Army, and Navy, and two of her children are currently serving in the Marine Corps and Navy.
